Terms & Condition
Important information to consider before submitting your abstract :
- All submissions must be made in English.
- Abstract submission is free of charge.
- Abstract must be sent to our e-mail/website at mecup2025.com. Other methods of submission will not be accepted.
- The submission deadline is 30 April 2025, 23.59 WIB. No late submissions will be accepted.
- Please note that the submitter must be the first author and and he/she will be the presenter of the abstract.
- Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the submitter to present the work in-person in Medan at The 16th Medan Cardiovascular Update 2025, if accepted.
- Abstract submitters will receive an email confirmation after submitting their abstracts.
- Once an abstract is submitted, it is not possible to make any corrections to the content or informations (such as presenter details, topic, authors’ list etc…).
- Patient data (name, date of birth, hospital number ….) must be removed. Please pay attention in deleting such information on images or clips included in your submission.
- Use generic drugs name. The use of commercial drugs names or brands is strictly prohibited.
- Your abstract must list at least 1 author in order to be submitted. Please make sure the information given for each author is correct, as no changes will be possible after the abstract is submitted.
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit.
- The final selection will be made by the scientific members in Early May 2025 that will determine the format of presentation for each abstract (oral presentation or moderated poster).
- Results will be announced in Early May 2025. A notification of acceptance or rejection will be emailed to each submitter. If the abstract is accepted, further instructions will be provided at the time of results announcement.
- If an abstract is accepted, the submitter must register for the main symposium of The 16th Medan Cardiovascular Update 2025. Failure to register will lead to withdrawal of the abstract from scientific programme.
- Presentation and interaction on the research or clinical case can be conducted in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
a. The 16th Medan Cardiovascular Update 2025 welcomes abstracts in two categories : original research and clinical case.
b. All abstracts must be written in English.
c. Use an A4 paper size, Times New Roman 12 pt for the text font and symbol for the Greek and special characters.
d. Abstracts should use justify as the paragraph style (align left and right), typed in 1.5 space, and a 2.5 cm margin on all sides.
e. Supported file formats are MS Word and Word Document (.doc or .docx), other file formats will not be accepted.
f. The abstract should not exceed 300 words (excluding the title, authors, and affiliations).
g. The title should be written in bold and not contain abbreviations.
h. List of author(s), affiliation(s), city and country should be written immediately below the title. Affiliation(s), city and country should be written in italics and the first author’s name should be underlined.

i. Use zero before decimal point, dot (.) for making decimal point and use lowercase p values. For example p<0.05.
j. A maximum of 1 figure or table is allowed to be included in the abstract in the form of PNG, JPEG or JPG (minimal 200 dpi)
k. Do not include references, credits or grant support.

Dear Participant,
Please submit your abstract as a .doc or .docx file to the following email: mecupabstract@gmail.com. Ensure that the email subject is “ABSTRACT” to facilitate proper processing. The maximum file size for attachments is 25MB.

All submitted abstracts will be thoroughly evaluated by official reviewers
Acceptance Notification
- The presenters of the accepted abstracts will be notified by email
- After the notification, presenters will be informed of their presentation (moderated online presentation or display presentation), date and time with specific guidelines for the session
- There will be selection for best performance of moderated online presentation.
